Home Care & Support

Live-in care
When you need continuous care, you may not want the added stress of having to leave familiar surroundings. GCCGL  gives you the option of high quality care without moving to a care home.
Our live-in care service offers the reassurance of 24 hour care and support in the comfort of your own home. Our live-in care services include Companionship and socialising

Assisting with outings, community-based activity and appointments Social care support and encouragement Preparing meals and support with eating Providing prompts, reminders and administration of medication Personal care and assistance including washing, bathing and dressing Supporting and promoting continence care Laundry, shopping and light housework Making appointments, maintaining records, keeping diaries

Companionship care
Companion care is one of our most requested services. When one of our GCCGL care assistants provides companionship care, they become a trusted companion who can keep you or your loved one socially engaged in their own home, and also accompany you or them on visits with friends, family, and to other social events. , our companionship services may cover a wide range of activities where we are able to provide support, for example: General companionship and conversation Joining in with your favourite hobbies Help with general domestic tasks(cleaning, laundry etc.) Help with your weekly shopping Cooking and sharing meals Help with travel arrangements Arranging and accompanying you to and from appointments

Sleeping Night
The care assistant sleeps at the property for a minimum of nine to ten hours and is on hand if required. This option will suit if you don’t require regular support, but feel uncomfortable when left alone throughout the night. Anxieties and sleep deprivation can soon be improved with a sleeping night care professional there to support you. Having that extra night care at home can really help you remain healthy and happy. If assistance is needed more than twice during the night, this will be considered a waking night.
Waking Night
The care professional is on duty throughout the night for a minimum of Twelve hours. This is the best support option if you or a loved one wakes several times perhaps being disorientated or needing to go to the bathroom. If you wake at regular intervals during the night to change position due to injury, or if you have to administer medication at regular intervals, this is likely to be the best choice for you. The waking night care professional is there at your side as and when you need them for the duration of the night, providing a high level of expert support.

SUPPORTED LIVING
Supported living services for individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and assessed needs aim to empower these individuals to live independently in their communities and work towards achieving their goals. The key principles of these services often include personalised support, identification of opportunities, and building on individual strengths. Here's an elaboration on these aspects:

Testimonials

What our customers write about us

Kath "Words cannot express how much you helped me manage sorting out a nursing home. I felt so supported when trying..."

Lorena Watson

would like to offer you both my most sincere thanks and appreciation for the wonderful high quality care that you provided for my Mum Freda over the last 4 years. She was a bright although very disabled lady and was never the most easy individual to manage and I was really impressed by the way you coaxed her in to gradually settling into the home and then into enjoying her time with you.
